Sophie Christiansen CBE is patron of CP Teens UK. Sophie, who has Cerebral Palsy, is a 8 x Paralympic Gold Medalist in Dressage. She competed in her first Paralympic Games in Athens in 2004 where she was the youngest athlete for Team GB at just 16-years-old. In 2008, Sophie competed at the Beijing Paralympics where she won a two Gold and one Silver medal. In 2012, Sophie competed on home soil at the London Paralympics where she won three Gold medals. Sophie went onto repeat this amazing win of three Gold medals at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.
In 2009, Sophie was awarded an MBE for her services to disability sport. In 2013, Sophie was awarded an OBE for her services to equestrianism. In 2017, Sophie was awarded a CBE for her services to para-equestriansm.
In addition, some of Sophie's notable achievements include coming 5th in BBC Sport Personality Of The Year 2017 just behind Mo Farah, a first class Master's Degree in Mathematics and BBC London Disabled Athlete Of The Year 2004.
