Last night we held the 'Empowerment, Confidence and Being Me' workshop online. Youngsters joined and participated from across the UK, from Essex to Glasgow. We looked at what empowerment and confidence looks like to each individual, and what it means to be YOU - including our greatest achievements, how we felt in those moments and how we can transfer these emotions, skills and feeling of empowerment into our lives. CP Teens UK is all about connecting youngsters who have cerebral palsy and similar physical disabilities. Since 2013, connections and friendships have formed from north to south, and east to west. Melissa & Grace both have cerebral palsy and met through CP Teens UK. ​ The pair are now best friends and meet up as often as they can despite living miles apart and they speak every day. Last week we enjoyed a colourful and creative afternoon making memory collages. The session gave everyone the chance to express themselves using photos, colours, words, and personal touches to create collages full of meaning. It was a lovely opportunity to reflect on favourite memories, celebrate individuality, and spend time together in a relaxed and supportive space. A small, but mighty, Sponsored Wobble! A big well done to all ‘wobblers’! Although we were a small group this year, we still wobbled through Chatsworth in a range of weather conditions along the way! This year, Jasmine completed the 5k route on her Frame Runner. Despite only having a Frame Runner since November, Jasmine has gone from strength to strength - she uses her Frame Runner regularly and has even completed up to 4 miles at a time so far! In 2026, we have introduced the Saturday Lunch Club, which is a series of socials that take place every couple of months or so on a Saturday over lunch and drinks. The first Saturday Lunch Club took place last Saturday. It was really lovely to have a good catch-up over lunch. We hope that the Saturday Lunch Club will continue to grow throughout 2026. This year we have introduced online quiz nights with a running quiz league. We held quiz #1 of 2026 this evening and it was a great success! A big well done to everyone, including: FIRST PLACE: Jaz with 39 points SECOND PLACE: Enna-Thea with 38 points THIRD PLACE: Eden with 37 points Prizes will be sent out to the winners, and all players will be entered into the 2026 CP Teens UK quiz league. We kicked off 2026 this weekend in Sheffield with an all-girls social. Much hilarity was shared when we went bowling and unfortunately, no bowling ramps were available - we had such a laugh improvising and trying to bowl without ramps.
