Join us & GoKidsGo for a fun, inclusive and social wheelchair skills workshop! Power chair users and manual chair users welcome. All abilities. Saturday 29th June 2024. Sheffield (exact location provided to those registered). 12:00-4:00pm. FREE (refundable deposit must be paid to secure place). The venue has got a cafe, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it will be open. We therefore strongly recommend that participants bring their own lunch/snacks. A fun, inclusive & social workshop covering: • Control of the wheelchair • Propulsion Techniques • Back Wheel Balancing • Road Safety • Spatial Awareness • Manoeuvring Skills • Coping with kerbs, slopes and rough ground • Emergency Evacuation Techniques • Introduction to Wheelchair Sports Extra wheelchairs provided so that family members can join in if they wish! Recommended minimum age: 8-years. Maximum age: 25-years. All under-18's and those requiring support (toileting, feeding, moving & handling, epilepsy etc.) MUST ATTEND WITH A PARENT/GUARDIAN/CARER/PA - this is not a respite service.
